What’s you say to people who say dance music, isn’t real music?

I hate gatekeeping, everyone that gatekeeps is so disingenuous about why they do it. They claim they don’t want this thing they’re super passionate about to be watered down or ruined, like they’re the source of truth on what that thing is supposed to be like, like it’s not allowed to evolve. What it really comes down to is they don’t want to feel less ‘unique’ or ‘special’ for whatever that thing is. Or they’re just buttholes.
